Teaching students aged 7 to 27

Who do we teach?

At Amaranth Music, we welcome students who love music, enjoy the learning process and are willing and able to work over time in trusting exchange with their teacher.

We:

• Specialise in teaching youths (students aged from 7to 27 years);
• Teach at all levels (Beginners are very welcome);
• Teach a variety of genres including Classical, Musical Theatre, Pop, Rock, Jazz and Soul.

Who don't we teach?

We generally do not teach students who are aiming to achieve quick, 'surface' results in a limited period of time. At Amaranth Music we promote the philosophy that significant progress and an optimal sense of personal achievement in any considerable area of new learning is best realised over time via gradual and continuous guided practice. We aim to develop confident, intelligent singers who, through lessons, become increasingly more aware of their ability to control and manipulate technique in order to create meaningful, musical expression. As is the case when learning any musical instrument, we believe that this cannot be truly achieved through 'quick-fix'
methods.

We generally do not teach students:

• Who are looking to take lessons solely in preparation for singular performance events.
• When we feel, for whatever reason, that we will not be able to help them to achieve their goals.

We refer such students to other teachers who may be better suited to their needs.

When do we teach?

We teach:

• 3 - 9pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and;
• 1.30 - 6.30pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Where do we teach?

We teach in a home-based studio in Prospect.
